Amazon Flexible Payments Service (Amazon FPS)

Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) is a set of web service APIs offered as an Amazon Web Service (AWS).

Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) is a set of web service APIs offered as an Amazon Web Service (AWS). FPS allows subscribed e-commerce web stores to use Amazon’s numerous payment options and customer info database for the vending of goods and services.

FPS differs from other Amazon payment APIs in that it enables donations, subscriptions and other recurring payments and micropayments.  Amazon FPS supports payment through bank account debits, Amazon payment balances and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB. Payment fees are lowest for Amazon payment balance, followed by bank account debits.

As it is only offered as a web service, Amazon FPS is only accessible through a web-browser. However, Amazon offers a sandbox area to allow for testing before use in a live customer-facing environment.
