Alexa Top Sites is an Amazon Web Service (AWS) that provides lists of the highest-performing websites according to Alexa Traffic Rank algorithm. Sites are ranked on a descending scale, with number one being the top ranking.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
Traffic Rank organizes the top sites according to their relative reach and page views among Alexa users over the preceding three months. Reach is calculated as the number of unique users who have visited a given site over that period of time. Page views are determined by the number of times the site was accessed, although multiple views on a single day only count as one page view. The data is gathered from users who have installed the Alexa toolbar, which displays and records statistics about websites as the user browses the Web.
Alexa Internet, often referred to simply as Alexa, is a Web traffic information, metrics and analytics provider. The company was founded by Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat in 1996 and acquired by Amazon in 1999. Alexa operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the parent company.
